As a member of the CIO's top team, you will play a key role in the managing the IT portfolio across the business and IT, ensuring delivery of the portfolio to time, cost and quality to the satisfaction of our stake-holders. The IT department prides itself on a personalised service so you will be responsible for liaising with senior stakeholders across the organisation.

This position requires a strategic mind, meticulous attention to detail, ability to think out-of-the-box to understand how to structure and deliver the portfolio to meet expectations and challenge assumptions. The position also requires an ability to communicate clearly and articulately in combination with strong inter-personal skills. This may often be under challenging conditions.

Duties Include:

Lead the building of the IT technology portfolio based on the IT and business strategy. This includes:

Working with the Operations team: develop and monitor a renewal and upgrade portfolio for the IT hardware and software.

Working with the IT Security team: Develop and monitor the Security programme.

Working with the Head of Business Analysis: Develop and track the projects portfolio.

Understand current and future business goals to feed that into the IT portfolio to ensure business success.

Work with the team to understand what information technologies are needed and how they should be integrated into the company for optimal effectiveness

Understand and communicate the resources required for a successful delivery.

Clearly communicate Risk and Issue mitigation as well as hold the master actions register for IT.

Ability to understand what project methodology to apply when and be able to morph approach de-pending on any major issues arising.

Participate in recruitment, orientation and ongoing training of new IT staff.

Supervise and direct IT personnel as required.

Key Skills:

15+ years' experience as an IT professional.

10+ years' supervisory experience in an IT Department.

Exposure to IT architecture.

MSP/Prince2/Agile, ability to use hybrid approaches.

Good understanding of Cloud services and what it means to be cloud-native.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Able to clearly communicate a technical portfolio to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Understanding of ITIL.
