IT Support Technician

We are seeking a talented IT Support Technician to join an established distribution and wholesale company in Newport. The IT Support Technician will provide first, second and application technical support to all employees including those working from remote locations. Position reports directly to the IT Manager.

How You Will Make An Impact:

  • Assist in resolving incidents/service requests submitted via email, phone, or walk up
  • Support associate onboard/offboarding processes
  • Software and hardware installations/troubleshooting and other related IT Technician functions
  • Collaborate with a highly motivated team that strives for excellent customer Service

Desired Skills & Experiences

  • Focus on exceptional customer service
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • 2-5 years of experience in providing general IT support
  • Proficient with Windows O365, SQL, OFFICE
  • Basic networking, including WAN/LAN, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP and VPN.
  • Ability to prioritiSe, multi-task and manage multiple requests
  • A logical and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical employees
