IT Solutions Architect - (Manufacturing & Assembly Systems) - Home Based / Bristol - £75-85K

As a key member of the leading think tank you will be the go to person when it comes to the design and strategy of the platforms around their manufacturing & assembly systems . You will be taking full ownership of projects, owning the strategy. You will have extensive experience in leading projects and someone who has engineering/manufacturing systems experience.
The Successful Applicant
Will have experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Aviation, Automotive type sectors
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Detailed knowledge and accreditation in ITIL and/or TOGAF
Experience of working in a complex multi supplier environment
Familiarisation with architectural tools, standards and methods
Understanding of software applications, IT infrastructure and modern cloud technology
Knowledge and understanding of Information Security
Understanding of business process modelling
Working with the business and IT to understand the strategic direction of the business.
Build roadmaps that takes them from where they need to be.
Working with the IT Security team: Ensure that Enterprise architecture is secure by design.
Work with the partners of the enterprise IT ecosystem to build a roadmap that is truly exceptional.
Understand and communicate the resources required for a successful implementation of the strategic roadmap.
Clearly communicate Risk and Issue mitigation as well as hold the master actions pertaining to the enterprise roadmap.
Supervise and direct IT personnel as required.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
10+ years' experience as an IT professional.
5+ years' experience as a Solutions Architect, ideally within engineering
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to clearly communicate a technical portfolio to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Understanding of ITIL and good appreciation of how to practically transform a design into a working set of systems.
