Technology Services Manager - Home/Bristol

They are looking for an individual with demonstrable ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This role is to develop the technology delivery and management function. The role is full-time and will require the successful candidate to be a self-starter and motivated to do something special, disruptive and exciting.
You will be in charge of defining and delivering our Technology Services and operating them. The work will include:
Own the IT Helpdesk and manage the services meticulously.
Oversee the daily operations of the service desk, ensuring SLAs are adhered to and report KPIs.
Coach and develop a small in-house Operations team, highlighting knowledge gaps and making proposals for training where necessary.
Manage an outsourced 1st and 2nd line support function.
Take handover on new capabilities and services from the Solution Delivery team.
Schedule, prepare for and participate in reviews with strategic suppliers to continuously improve the services and/or software being provided.
Direct aspects of IT procurement, including software, hardware, and cloud services.
Track IT assets, design and deliver common standards; forecast both hardware and software license requirements.
Configure critical systems for high availability in addition to maintaining and regularly testing our Disaster Recovery plan.
Monitor, update and administer the enterprise systems, network and SaaS applications.
Identify and deliver opportunities for improvement across the IT estate.
Keep an ear to the ground and work in close proximity to our users, ensuring that the services delivered continue to meet the needs of the business.
Strong fundamental knowledge of ITIL.
Experience of working in a fast-paced and dynamic engineering business.
Good knowledge of current and developing cloud-based IT infrastructure and management.
Excellent time management skills.
Experience in working with people and bringing them on side.
Ability to roll sleeves up and "getting stuck in".
Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Experience in communicating with management, as well as technical and business teams in the area of Information Security.
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, able to challenge the status quo and balance near and long-term needs.
