Senior PHP Developer

Southern Lights are pleased to be partnered alongside an exciting software house, who're looking to ramp up recruitment over the next 15months. As the Senior Developer, you will be passionate about all things PHP and keen to expand your skilset into modern javascript frameworks.


Some of the key expectations for your new role will include:

• Development and maintenance of MySQL databases for use in external and internal systems
• Development of OO PHP web applications for customer facing systems
• Testing of PHP web applications
• Development of both internal and external OO PHP systems
• Take a leading role within the development process, lead other developers on given projects and be able to work well with others
• Provide accurate time scales for development tasks

What you will need:

• Expert knowledge and awareness of internet technologies such as (X)HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Strong PHP experience - Laravel, Zend or Code Ignitor experience would be preferable.
• Ability to debug and inspect the behaviour of legacy and procedural PHP-based systems.
• An interest to work alongside modern javascript frameworks like Node, React, Vue and Angular.
