Software Developer

We are looking to recruit a software developer who would be the lead in a team of three.

The main skills and experience required are ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, C#, MVC and SQL Server.

Our client develops and supports several in-house web applications, the main application is a business critical and heavily used app which is crucial for all users. Most applications are ASP.NET Web Forms applications but some are currently in the process of review and redesign.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing bespoke software to a professional standard. Working with users to understand requirements, to design, develop and implement robust solutions;
• Creating, reviewing, updating and ensuring the compliance of the IT Software Development policy, procedure and processes;
• Ensuring the security of data in line with best practice standards such as ISO 27001 & Cyber Essentials
• Managing Team workload & priorities and providing technical leadership
• Advising on systems acquisition / development / integration / third party options;
• Supporting existing software applications
• Liaising with suppliers

Key Skills

• Deliver web applications using ASP.NET MVC
• Experienced in developing distributed applications and an understanding of the associated technologies
• Working within an agile environment to assist with review and design
• Working understanding of Continuous Integration/Development
• Experience with leading a team of developers
