Job Purpose:
As an IT Infrastructure Engineer you will tackle complex technical issues unique to this not-for-profit organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Project Support: Lead the implementation of technical projects across the Trust, with a focus on telephony upgrades.
- Hands-On Role: Configure the new telephony system and its associated infrastructure.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team, project management office, and third-party vendors.
- Meetings: Participate in project meetings, either facilitating or providing technical support.
- Reporting: Keep the IT Infrastructure Manager updated with regular project status reports and progress on issue resolution.
Key Experience:
- At least 3 years in managing medium to large enterprise IT Infrastructure with direct customer interaction.
- Experience with corporate phone systems, both on-premise and cloud-based.
- Experience in deploying and supporting enterprise systems.
- Proficient in using CRM software or IT Support ticket tracking systems.
- Knowledgeable in corporate IP networks, network switching, Ethernet, TCP/IP, DHCP, and other networking technologies.
- Experience working with third-party vendors.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with High Availability/Life Critical systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft server administration, Windows Admin Centre, Hyper-V Manager, and Hyper-V servers/clusters.
- Experience with enterprise-grade storage solutions (SAS, SAN).
- Hands-on experience with corporate phone systems.
- Experience in building, installing, and configuring Microsoft servers (Server 2016/19/22).
- Administering Mobile Device Managers like Intune.
- Experience with VOIP applications.
Essential:
Driving Licence: Full and valid UK driving licence with business-use insurance.
