About the Opportunity:
Southern Lights is partnering with a nationally recognised law firm to recruit an IT Trainer on initially a 6 month fixed term contract but likely to go permanent. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, dynamic IT training team and make a real impact by helping colleagues across the firm develop their digital skills.
The Role:
In this role, you will design, deliver, and maintain engaging IT training content, helping staff get the most out of the tools and software they use every day. You will combine hands-on training delivery with content creation, ensuring learning is interactive, up-to-date, and accessible to all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver IT onboarding and ongoing skills training for new and existing staff.
- Create multimedia training content, including video tutorials, e-learning modules, and guides using tools such as Camtasia, SnagIt, Microsoft Sway, and Articulate Storyline 360.
- Maintain and enhance the firm’s digital learning platforms and resources.
- Ensure consistency and quality in all training materials.
- Manage training enquiries and provide support through the team mailbox.
- Participate in IT projects to support technology adoption and efficiency.
- Collect feedback to continually improve the learning experience.
- Occasionally provide on-the-floor support and training at other office locations.
Candidate Profile:
- Experienced in IT support, training, or a combination of both, ideally with Microsoft 365 and business application knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Quick to pick up new software and technologies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Confident communicator, able to simplify technical concepts for non-technical colleagues.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering engaging learning experiences.
- Flexible to attend local offices at least weekly and travel occasionally to other sites.
